Understanding protein function at a global scale is one of the grand challenges in biology. In this webinar, Prof. Steinegger will walk us through how next-generation structure prediction methods have transformed the field, including:

• Leveraging AlphaFold2 and ESMFold for large-scale structure prediction
• Extracting biological insights using ColabFold, MMseqs2, and Foldseek
• Analyzing protein sequences and structures at nearly billion-scale
• Combining protein language models with sparse experimental data
• Enabling efficient, iterative “lab-in-the-loop” research workflows
